I am
a board certified Internal Medicine specialist located in Tigard, Oregon.
I have been practicing since 1991 providing personalized primary care
services for patients age 12 and older. I offer individual care in areas
like:
- Preventive medicine
- Sports medicine
- Treatment of injuries
- Diagnostics
- Office minor surgeries
- Management of chronic and complex medical problems
- Hospital medicine
I strive to treat each individual with respect and kindness. I encourage questions and active participation in health care decisions by everyone. My practice style tends to be more conservative (e.g. less tendency to prescribe antibiotics, or use the newest medicines or tests until benefits are proven) and I stress those areas that improve and maintain health and help prevent illness or injury such as:
- Advice on nutrition and exercise
- Weight loss
- Quitting smoking
- Preventive vaccinations and screening tests (pap smears, mammograms…etc)
- Routine complete physical exams
In addition to preventive medicine, I provide care for a variety of acute and chronic medical problems when they occur:
- Injuries: back, neck, shoulders, elbows, knee to ankle…etc.
- Treatment of tendonitis, bursitis, arthritis.
- Management of chronic illness: Diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), asthma, emphysema, migraines, osteoporosis as examples.
