Approximately 15-20% of the practice and income is directly from work in performing medical file reviews and Independent Medical Evaluations. I perform this work for numerous reasons including the conviction that it is a valuable and important service. I enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to offer my expertise in understanding numerous conditions from the cause to the best treatment.

The great majority of this work involves claims of injuries from work, or from motor vehicle accidents. At times I will include other medical problems including claims on heart conditions, high blood pressure, infections, and sleep apnea as some examples.

Less frequently, I will also provide work as an expert witness in the area of Internal Medicine.

Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT)

I am fully trained in the science of OMT which is similar to treatment offered by chiropractors. In general, I do not provide this service at my office as my rooms lack the proper tables and space, but I am capable of determining the need of this treatment option and will refer to others if it is indicated.

I was born in southern California in 1959 and grew up in the city of Orange. My father was a college science professor teaching Biology and related sciences. I attended undergraduate school at Cal State University at Fullerton earning a bachelors degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

I have been married to my wife Stacy since 1984, and we have two boys born in 1988 and 1990. We moved to Oregon as we started our family, and we have lived in Tigard since 1999.

I love to fly fish primarily on the Deschutes, read (especially non-fiction), write, and exercise on a regular basis. I have always loved playing sports and for many years have played competitive badminton.
